Each day you wake up in the morning and have a list of things to get done that day, which is usually a much longer list that what anyone is physically capable of getting done in one day. Anything that interferes with checking things off the list can cause a lot of stress and frustration. This is especially true when the interfering issue has to do with your plumbing system and items are then added to your already overwhelming list!

Thankfully, at Call Clint Plumbing of Cold Spring, our team of dedicated plumbing experts are committed to being a resource for you no matter what the plumbing issue is and what time of day or night it happens. When your plumbing system breaks down it is never a good time, in fact, any time there is a malfunction with your plumbing it completely interferes with what you were doing or need to be doing because you rely on your plumbing system for so many things. Our team understands this frustration and we want to alleviate the stress, not add to it. When an expert member of our team is dispatched to your home we will arrive with all of the appropriate tools needed to efficiently address your issue. We will wear covers on our shoes to protect your flooring and will always clean up the work area before we leave.

Some things that you can do to quickly address a plumbing emergency in your home are:

  1. Contact our office immediately: If your plumbing system is not working the way that it should be, don’t hesitate to call us. It might seem like something that can wait, but we recommend always calling anyway just in case the issue is much large behind the scenes. There are many parts of your plumbing system that are not visible, and having a leaking faucet could be a sign of something much bigger elsewhere in the system. Any time that your plumbing system is showing signs of needing repair, give us a call!
  2. Turn off the main water source: Turning off the main water valve to your house can save hundreds of dollars in repair of water damage to your flooring and furniture. When a pipe breaks or begins leaking, your plumbing system doesn’t just stop working and moving water from place to place. This means that, unless you turn the water off at the main source, your plumbing system will continue to pump water through the pipes – broken or not. The volume of water could be enough to fill your entire kitchen with inches of water is just a few minutes.
  3. Turn off the water supply to the affected fixture: All of the individual plumbing fixtures through your home have shut off valves that allow you to turn the water off to them. This is helpful if there is an overflowing toilet or a faucet that is dripping because you can cancel the water supply to that local fixture and not have to worry about not having water throughout the home.

When you are calling a plumber to help with an emergency malfunction with your plumbing system, hearing an answering machine on the other end say that your call is important doesn’t feel very helpful. When you call our office, no matter what time it is, we will always answer your call. A dedicated member of our Cold Spring Village team will be available to learn about your particular situation, answer your questions, and dispatch a plumber to help you right away.
